Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls
These Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls are like the vegetarian version of pigs-in-a-blanket — put them out at a party, and they’re guaranteed to disappear faster than you can count them. Plus, they’re incredible simple and made from just five ingredients, meaning you won’t be slaving away all afternoon in the kitchen.
These tasty appetizers start with everyone favorite frozen roll: the buttery, flakey Crescent Roll. We bought the reduced fat version (didn’t even know there was such a thing), but I certainly wouldn’t judge you for opting for the caloric classic. The easy filling is made from a mixture of light cream cheese, shredded pepper jack cheese and a freshly minced jalapeño; plus, it’s seasoned with my all-time favorite spice mix, Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel seasoning.
Need a quick party snack that’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser? Look no further than these Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls!
INGREDIENTS
1 package reduced fat Crescent Rolls (makes 8 rolls)
4 oz. light cream cheese
2 oz. pepper jack cheese, shredded
1 jalapeño, minced
1 T. Everything Bagel Seasoning (we used Trader Joe’s brand)
STEPS
1) Preheat the oven to the temperature listed on the Crescent Rolls package. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, jalapeño and Everything Bagel Seasoning.
2) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and open the Crescent Rolls package. Lay out one dough section on a plate, then place a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on the large end of the dough. Roll the dough from the large end to the pointed end as you normally would. Repeat until you run out of dough (you should have just enough filling).
3) Place the Crescent Rolls onto the baking sheet and cook until golden brown, about 18 minutes. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
